Caring for Your ORIMI Jewelry
WEARING YOUR JEWELERY
- Put it on last and take it off first. Complete your routine before putting on your ORIMI jewelry.
- Remove it before bathing or swimming. Avoid soap buildup, chlorine, salt water and heat.
- Remove it before exercise. Protect the finish, chains, clasps and stone settings from impact and friction.
- Remove it before sleeping. Prevent tangles, strained clasps and pressure catching on fabric.
CLEANING AT HOME
- After each wear. Gently wipe your piece with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove oils and residue before storing it.
- A deeper clean at home. For 18k gold and diamond pieces that do not contain colored gemstones, briefly place the piece in lukewarm water with a small amount of mild dish soap. Clean it gently with a clean, ultra-soft brush reserved for jewelry, paying particular attention to the back of the stones and around the settings. Rinse it in a bowl of clean water and dry it completely with a soft, lint-free cloth.
EMERALDS & COLORED GEMSTONES
- These stones require gentler care. Clean them briefly with lukewarm water, mild soap and an ultra-soft brush, without prolonged soaking. Never use an ultrasonic or steam cleaner.
- What to avoid. Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, steam cleaners, abrasive products, household cleaning solutions or anything containing bleach or ammonia. Avoid commercial jewelry cleaners unless ORIMI has confirmed that the product is suitable for your specific piece.
STORING YOUR JEWELRY
- Keep each piece separate. Gold is a soft precious metal, and diamonds can scratch it. Store each piece individually in its ORIMI box or Aso Oke pouch so that it does not rub against other jewelry.
- Fasten chains before storing them to help prevent tangling, and lay bracelets flat.
- Keep your jewelry dry. Store it away from heat, moisture and direct sunlight. A cool, dry drawer is ideal.
- Care for your Aso Oke pouch. Each pouch is made from a handwoven textile. Keep it clean and dry to preserve the fabric.
PROFESSIONAL CARE
- Check your settings. Every few months, inspect the prongs, clasps and stones. If a stone appears to move or a setting catches on fabric, stop wearing the piece and contact Client Services.
- Polishing and repair. Over time, gold naturally develops a soft patina and fine surface marks. When you would like your piece professionally cleaned or refinished, or if it requires repair, contact Client Services and we will advise you on the appropriate next step.
LIFETIME CRAFTMANSHIP WARRANTY
Every ORIMI piece is protected by our Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty, subject to its terms. Normal wear, accidental damage and damage caused by improper care are not craftsmanship defects. We can assess your piece and, where possible, provide a repair estimate.
